Materials:

1 x 12-inch board, cut to 12 inches long

1 x 4-inch board, cut to 10 inches long
1-inch wood screws
Drill
Phillips head screwdriver

Instructions:

1. Start by attaching the 12-inch board to the bottom of the 10-inch board, using wood screws. This will form the back of the bird box. 2. Next, attach the 6-inch boards to the sides of the bird box, using wood screws. 3. Now, attach the 4-inch board to the front of the bird box, using wood screws. This will form the roof of the bird box. 4. Finally, attach the 10-inch board to the back of the bird box, using wood screws. This will form the floor of the bird box. 5. Once the bird box is assembled, you can drill a 1-inch hole in the front of the box, about 2 inches from the top. This will be the entrance hole for the birds. 6. Your bird box is now complete! You can now hang it in a suitable location and wait for the birds to move in.

Tips:

Use untreated wood to build your bird box. Treated wood can contain chemicals that are harmful to birds.
Paint or stain your bird box a natural color, such as brown or green. This will help it to blend in with its surroundings.
Clean your bird box every year to remove any old nesting material or parasites.
